FCE - Tray and Lid Forming Machine
In order to meet the requirements of packing, shipment and display on sale points - especially by hard discounts - of food and confectionery products in multi packages, CAM has designed and produced the "FCE" forming loading machine.
Starting from two open blanks, to be loaded on two capacious magazines and equipped with centralised glue applicator, the "FCE" packer receives and collects products in the quantity and arrangement required. Products are then placed on the first blank, which will be the base ("tray" type, with high or shaped low edges), forms it with downwards movement and hot-melt glueing of the angles, transfers it in horizontal position under the lid forming station, lifts it up and puts the second blank over, shaping it as a lid.
If required, the assembly of base and lid can be reinforced by additional hot-melt spots. The products to be handled may have regular sizes and shapes (sticks and small cartons, jars, bottles, ampoules etc.), or irregular shapes and low compactness ("pillow" bags, Doypack bags, flat bottom bags for powders and granulates, to be displayed in vertical position, or snacks and chocolate bars in flowpack, to be displayed in flat position or on edge).
Product automatic feeding and collation systems are, therefore, customized. The pack may be in compact or corrugated cardboard (monomaterial pack), with the most economical blank. "FCE" basic machine has a cantilever structure, allowing easy access by the operator to the mechanical movements installed on the front base. The absence of closed structures or panels in the machine lower part makes easy cleaning operations during and after machine running. Engines and main transmission gears are contained in the machine rear-side, separated from the working area.
The package dimensions vary from a minimum of 100 x 25 x 100 mm. up to 400 x 200 x 320 mm. maximum. It is also possible to handle packs with different dimensions than the standard range, reaching speeds up to 20 cycles per minute.
SMA 80 - Semi Automatic Case Packer
The semi-automatic casepacker modelSMA80 is the module for collation and arrangement in layers of products of the casepacking system model SM80. This module is equipped with a case support, on which the erected case is placed by the operator. By means of a pneumatic system enabled by the operator, the case support rotates by 90° and turns the case into the mouthpiece.
When the filling operations are completed, a full case detection device enables the case support to go back to its original position. Then the operator pushes manually the filled case towards the closing area and introduces a new case to be filled.
SM 80 - High Speed Horizontal Case Packer for Shipping Cases
The modular casepacker SM80 is one of the most reliable end-of-line machines. The machine has been developed to accommodate complicated applications, for ease of access, and to improve CAM standards of strength and reliability.
Consisting of three separated modules: product feeding and collation, carton erection and carton closure, this machine guarantees a total control and easy cleaning. The collation and the volume of cartons have been made in a positive manner and operated through the mechanical movement of two arms with suction grippers. The manufactured products are accumulated, put in layers and inserted into the erected carton.
The system of carton erection and product introduction into the carton allows for higher speed of packaging and guarantees higher stability of the products. The closing of the cartons can be done by glue tape , damp kraft paper or by the application of hot melt or cold glue. The "SM80" casepacker can be equipped with secondary equipment and options such as magazine for longer cartons, automatic carton loader, device to label with overlapping tape on the whole surface, marking of cartons, label applicator, printing of labels, etc.
SPZ - Integrated Case-Packing and Case Palletizing Monoblock
The new machine maintains unaltered the qualities of both case packers and palletizers, offering an even more compact layout due to the integration of exit facility for the case in the pallet magazine area. The machine has been designed taking into due account overall dimensions, easy access, easy and fast size change-over operations. The machine is specially suitable for pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food sectors.
The case packing module is fully cantelever structured with clean separation between mechanical and operational groups, the latter comfortably accessible from the operator’s side. A plain, reliable system for forming conveying/closing the cases, combined with the well tested system for stacking/filling the products, makes the machine extremely reliable and fit to operate in particularly demanding environments and conditions. Case closure may take place by means of self-adhesive tape, moistening-type paper or hot-melt glue. Size change-over operations are carried-out by means of a CAM patented system designated by Mechanical Memory®. The case packer module can be provided with optional additional equipment as follows: taping system with tape application over the entire case perimeter, case coding system, label application system, printers for labels, a.s.o.
ZP1 - Palletizer for Shipping Cases
The ZP1 is a palletizer with a closet-type structure and specific toughness and strength characteristics,
The machine has an imbedded PC where all main functions may be viewed, thus allowing data management including records of machine errors and of production. Products are laid out and stacked according to algorithms calculated automatically by the PC according to dimensions of the product to handle.
The number of possible product stacking configurations is virtually unlimited. All new models are pre-programmed for remote software assistance.
